We loved it here! The tacos were outstanding and unique, especially the duck with mole taco, and the miso fish taco. Also, the churros and horchata ice cream dessert was excellent. The margarita wasn’t particularly strong but it was tasty. The live music also added to a really fun vibe.

Best tacos and margaritas I’ve found in San Jose. Wow. The food, service and atmosphere are terrific. Can’t ask for more (except maybe the stools at the bar being more comfortable). Get here early or be prepared to wait. It’s worth it.

They had wonderful live music when we were dining for dinner. We got lucky and snagged seats at the bar. The margaritas and tacos are delicious! Our server was fantastic and easily accommodated all my dietary restrictions.

We actually didn’t dine at La Lupita’s but the sister restaurant across the street, Codigo. It was one of the top meals of our trip; great music, vibe and atmosphere. The food, drinks and tequila tasting were all 10/10, and we also really enjoyed our server, Eric. Can’t wait to come back!

BEST FOOD WE HAD IN CABO! I fully encourage anyone looking for a great night of tacos, amazing cocktails and live music to make this a must stop. We sat at the bar (even with a reso 2hrs before) and were glad we did. The bar tender made the night (give that guy a raise! We visited Sunday Dec 1). He was so friendly, funny, and helpful and really helped guide our journey on choosing the perfect cocktails and exploring some amazing mezcals. I don’t think the experience would have been as amazing without such a wicked awesome person behind the bar that treated us like an old friend. Our server also was amazing and made the menu of 18 tacos less overwhelming. We throughly enjoyed the cheese crust el pastor, miso fish, and flank steak. For myself the bite of the night was the braised lamb taco. The esquites as a side must be ordered if you visit. It held its own among the delicious tacos. In fact we were loving the great flavours! Couldn’t talk the wife into the grasshopper appy, but next time for sure! The band opened with riders on the storm by the doors. ‘Nuf said the mood was on on point and we left blown away by the service and food. I’m sure there are lots of more expensive fine dining options in the area but this place is busy for a reason and I’m looking forward to my next trip down to visit!

This was so good. Lively place with great live music (the night we were there), and a happy vibe. We had tacos, but the choices were not just the usual selection, these were gourmet tacos, and all were DELICIOUS. There was a waiting list when we went, so be prepared for that. They have a second place nearby, with the same menu and prices, but it just did not have the same lively feel to it. House margaritas were also good. Recommended! Great food, drink, and a lot of fun!

La Lupita in San Jose del Cabo is taco heaven—plain and simple. If you think you’ve had great tacos before, prepare to have your world flipped. This spot is all about taking tacos to the next level with inventive flavors and a menu that reads like a greatest hits album. Let’s start with the Chipotle Shrimp taco—absolute perfection. It’s smoky, spicy, and everything you never knew you needed in a taco. Next, the Shrimp Tempura taco—crispy, golden goodness paired with fresh toppings that take it over the top. The Squash Blossom taco is a surprise favorite, bringing earthy, floral flavors into the mix. The Miso Fish taco is light, savory, and slightly sweet, while the Chicken taco rounds out the list with a classic done right. The service? Spot on. The team at La Lupita is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like you’re part of their extended taco-loving family. Pair your meal with a mezcal from their killer selection—whether you’re a mezcal newbie or a seasoned sipper, they’ve got something for everyone. The vibe is perfect—cool, lively, and tucked away in a spot that makes you feel like you’re in on a little secret (although judging by how packed it gets, the secret’s out). Reservations are a must because this place tops all the “best of” lists for good reason. La Lupita isn’t just a meal—it’s a taco-fueled adventure you’ll be raving about long after the last bite. Five stars, every time!
